Registration as a RPEQ demonstrates an engineer’s qualification, competency and experience and ongoing commitment to development and learning.

The Board recognises 19 areas of engineering for RPEQ registration. More information on areas of engineering and assessment can be found here.

Qualification for registration is assessed through an approved assessment entity. Currently, 11 organisations are authorised to conduct assessments on behalf of BPEQ to determine eligibility for registration.

The Code of Practice is developed by the Board and sets the standards of conduct expected of RPEQs by BPEQ, their peers and the public.

Registration is for a period of 12 months and expires on 30 June. RPEQs must renew their registration annually to maintain a high standard of practice. The renewal period is now open.
