ABOUT US
The Board of Professional Engineers of Queensland (BPEQ) is an independent statutory body responsible for protecting the public and regulating the vast and multi-faceted engineering profession through a fair and consistent set of standards, designed to uphold engineering practise and conduct.
Our Services
BPEQ provides a range of services which are included in our Annual Reports.
In addition, the Regulator Performance Framework sets out how BPEQ’s regulatory practices align with the Queensland Government’s regulator model practices.

The Strategic Plan sets out the Board’s strategic priorities, opportunities, and risks over four years (2020-24).
OUR DECISIONS
BPEQ is committed to assisting RPEQs maintain high standards of professional practice. To provide practical examples and guidance to RPEQs and the public, BPEQ publishes Practice Notes on compliance with the PE Act and RPEQ Code of Practice. BPEQ also publishes Case Notes regarding previous disciplinary proceedings and prosecutions for offences under the PE Act.

BPEQ is committed to protecting the public and setting the standard of engineering. BPEQ’s policies guide its decision-making processes and expectations.
OUR LISTS
Under the PE Act, BPEQ has an obligation to maintain a register of all current and former RPEQs. The online directory contains the names and contact details of all current practising and non-practising RPEQs. Members of the public can view the complete register free of charge at the Board’s office during ordinary office hours in accordance with s 103 of the PE Act.
